Forth Post on Night

I have just finished reading the book Night and it is now one of my favorite books and it is definately worth reading if you haven’t gotten a chance to.  One thing that I learned from this book is that family is important and you should always be thankful to have a family.  Elie and his father were thankful to be together because at any given moment they could have been split apart, alone and scared.  After his father is struck with a sickness, Elie must care for him but he wakes up one morning to find his father gone and he was dead.  I admire Elie for surviving through the camps because it took alot of strength to do so.  This book is very inspiring because Elie was really put to the test, he lost everything and was forced to play a game of chance with his life and he passed that test.  He survived the holocaust and not many people can say that.  Excellent book, definately worth it!

Third Post on Night

I am about 2/3 done with Night and I can not stress it enough about how amazing this book is.  Elie is great as describing the scenery that its almost like I am really there.  The book flows really well because Elie is really good at describing everything.  He was with out a doubt a brave person at the time with all of the things he did.  For one he survived through this whole thing which shows strength and he went through surgery in the camps which was the most risky thing he could ever do.  He put his life at risk but I would have to say it was worth it, he survived and didn’t get caught.  But I really don’t think I would have been able to do that, I would be so traumatized from the camps already I wouldn’t have been strong or brave enough to go through with it.  Looking forward to the next couple chapters, can’t wait to finish and find out the rest of the story.

Scottish Play Progress

My group is making excellent progress with the Scottish Play, we are working really hard to have everything done by friday.  Our only problem seems to be is learning stage directions, we need to learn where we need to be and what we need to be doing.  Another minor problem is just learning lines but its not that much of a problem.  Everyone has there parts and we all know what were doing and we have a pretty good idea of what were doing.  Our scenes are kind of long so were going to need to be prepared for friday to be able to act them all out in 10 minutes but otherwise were doing great.

Second Post on Night

I am really enjoying the book so far but it hasn’t gotten to the really horrific events of the holocaust yet.  It crazy to think that this event took place less than 100 years ago and that all those events took place in the holocaust.  All the racism was just so unnecessary and shouldn’t of happen, it just shows you how crazy people really are.  The discription is amazing and I almost feel apart of the book, as if I was really there.  I am surprised to see that Elie was so lucky to have survived the holocaust when the prisoners were so physically and emotionally broken down.  I can’t wait to read the next chapters and follow along in Elie’s story and to see what happens next.  Amazing book so far!!

First Post on Night

I wasn’t really sure which book I wanted to read for this free reading assignment so I was willing to read any book as long as it look interesting.  I like to read books that have some truth to it, non fiction books such as this.  I discided to pick up on the book because it was recommended to me by Scottie.  He said it was a really good book so far so I thought I would give it a try.  The book is about a holocaust survivor from World War II which is a topic I am very interested in and know alot about.  I know most of the events from the World War II era but I have never really studied the holocaust so I will be learning alot from this book.  I expect the book to be very suspenseful and depressing because it is about the holocaust and there are going to be alot of deaths.  I have heard from many that the book is amazing and it has a big learning curve to it.
